Move towards a vibrant life.
Hi, it's me, Andie!
In 1976 I took my mother's book The Pritikin Diet to summer camp. I hid it under my pillow from my peers but I lost 30 pounds and became plant-based. The transformation was amazing. Returning home, I regained weight but lost it again at camp the next summer where I could choose what to eat and what not to eat. I was now a counsellor & swim instructor with enough maturity to know then that I wanted to help others release negative family patterns and to be able to overcome compensatory behaviours like eating and acquiescing, to become healthy. Forever!
After social work for 15 years, and classroom teaching for 22 years, I healed myself and put together credentials in Cancer Exercise, Yoga, Mindfulness Meditation, Whole Foods Plant-based Diet, BoneFit, Personal Training, Research Methodology, NeuroPsychology, Developmental Psychology (lifespan) and a Clinical Study. I now work at Trent University as a group fitness instructor and group personal trainer. I love it. I'm good at it. I'm evidence-based and passionate about longevity: bones, muscle, balance, heart, lung, vascular, brain, spirit.

I believe individuals can steer their health and fitness journey towards a long life with vibrant health: a great healthspan. The most effective strategies are those that meet you where you are on your wellness journey, rooted in scientific evidence and proven to support meaningful, measurable progress over time.
Therefore, I invite you to dive into links that interest you without ads, spam, fees, or medical advice (from me). Too many social media gurus are giving advice without being part of the studies and work directly. I do not want to do that. Here, you can find the topic and links to the leaders that helped train me. I learned directly under Dr. Esselstyn, Dr. Greger, Dr. Campbell, Dr. Ornish and met Dr. Greger 1:1 twice when he came to Canada. We talked about the future of people with a chemical or radiation cancer treatment behind them as we know that can result in a future different cancer diagnosis like leukaemia and lymphoma.
To my students, especially those in the Faculty of Nursing, thank you for asking for this site. It has been a pleasure to assemble it. Please let me know in class if there are suggestions and changes needed. I am humbled by your keen passionate interest in health and healing arts. You are decades ahead of where I was and have so so much to offer the general public when you graduate!
With deep gratitude and sincere awe, Andie
